Marcus woke up in his bunk, his bunk mate was still asleep. He looked at his calander and scratched off another day.

"289 days since we left port on earth..." he sighed.

Marcus put his feet on the cold deck, got up from his bunk, and walked to his station. When he sat down the person sitting down next to him turned to him.

The Tactical Room powered down after a long training period. He walked out and placed his Modular Tactical Assault Rifle (MTAR) into the armory and it slid back into the wall. He walked up into his room and closed the door. He climbed up onto his bunk, laid down on his bed, literally placing his head on his pillow and falling asleep.

He woke up and walked out of his room. His bunk-mate was already gone, so he walked to the armory, grabbing his MTAR, placing his thumb on the scanner and activating it. He then grabbed a clip and loaded it, at the same time priming it. He then proceeded on his daily patrols.

"So.... Boring...."

"Your telling me" Marcus said, "We havent seen action or anything out of the norm since we left port back at Mium XIV" he paused. "Do you think there are really 14 different planets named Mium?"
